Interior architecture
The most elementary forms of classical architecture enter the home. Pediments, planes, cubes, parallelepipeds and triangles: straight lines and unadorned surfaces highlight the sole protagonist, the wood and its grain. Quality hardware has been doing its job for thirty-one years, and everything still works perfectly.
An interior project — like a design object — often gains more formal value from simple acts of reduction than from the addition of unnecessary decoration. A material with its own texture needs only well-proportioned cuts and little else. Less is more, as always.
It was 1992. At a young age I became interested in the work and philosophy of Aldo Rossi, an architect distinguished by a unique language. I decided to try creating furniture with a strong architectural character and shut myself away in the workshop. The result was BEDROOM 1992.
