Material analysis
The load-bearing structure is a skeleton of lacquered iron: square-section profiles welded with surgical precision, designed to visually disappear and allow the material to float in empty space. The storage modules are not merely boxes; they are blocks of memory. Solid walnut, exposed knots and figuring that recount decades of slow growth in forests, with oil-treated surfaces that do not suffocate the pores. The rhythm is syncopated: open voids let light pass through, substantial volumes hold what matters. Cold metal. Living wood. Static balance.
